The Wall Street Journal’s Global Food Forum is an exclusive invitational event that gathers leaders in the food business to discuss the issues of the day impacting the world of food domestically and internationally.  This typically exhilarating one day conference had a very different vibe this year.  At past conferences speakers and journalists would be engaged in lively debates about the trends transforming the food business on stage.  This year, the huge chasm of differences in philosophy and belief structures found debates in small groups during meals and receptions and stage presentation were less provocative with very few risks taken by speakers.
